Hip Hop Sunday
Feel The Beat - Third Sunday of Every Month
We worship God with a little extra flavor. We bring in local and national artists to engage our community with worship that makes sense. It makes sense because it’s the sound eminating from our streets, it’s the graffiti that colors our community walls and the dancing and fashion that energizes our neighborhoods.
Hip Hop is the language of our community.
Birthed in the Bronx and now a global movement shaping our culture, Hip Hop just like any other culture is good and bad, divine and demonic, and beautiful and ugly. Hip Hop is beautiful when it shows us a very creative and gifted generation of youth and young adults sharing their dreams, joys, and pain. Hip Hop is ugly when it degrades women, presents violence as the primary means to solve conflict, and glorifies alcohol abuse and illegal drug use.
On Hip Hop Sundays, we use the artistic and creative language of Hip Hop to worship God unashamedly. Hip Hop is a part of who we are and if it’s a part of who you are, we want you to join with us.
Hip Hop Sundays every 3rd Sunday of the Month and bring your friends.
